Rambhau Potdar no more

Rambhau Potdar former Chairman, Legislative Council, Karnataka and former minster during the Janta Dal regime passed away this morning in hospital at the age of 94.

He is survived by his wife Leela and son Avinash.

He had greatly contributed to the political and literary field. He was part of the Janta Patiwar. He as the minister for industrial cooperative in Ramkrishna Hegde’s cabinet and his work was appreciated. Rambhau was also the founding members of the Belgaum Pioneer bank. He had good cordial relations with the political fraternity and also the film fraternity including legendary V Shantaram, Dilip Kumar to name a few.

His funeral procession would begin from his house at 4 pm on Saturday.

  3. Really Sad to hear the demise of Shri Rambhau Potdar. May his soul RIP.
    He was a gem kind of person, he use to come out to help everyone, he was the fan of movies, good connection with late bollywood actors, for which he started the Prakash theatre and was a very good friend of my grandfather ….
    On my every visit to India I use to always visit his home …. the last time I met him was in 2015….really we lot a good person …. May his soul RIP
