On November 27, CM Bommai announced that RTPCR negative report compulsory for those entering the state from Kerala and Maharashtra.

The same has been enforced from today Sunday.

Checks were being done at Bachi Border and those who don’t possess the Covid negative certificate were sent back.

Each vehicle is inspected at the Bachi Check Post. Passengers arriving without an RTPCR report have been sent back.

Revenue and Health Department personnel have been deployed at the Bachi Check Post to provide emergency services to travelers who are on the spot.

Rapid Antigen Testing is done at the Bachi Check Post.

A few citizens from Goa who were to come to Belagavi for shopping returned back as they too were RTPCR negative certificate, however, there is no SOP published for Goa.

RAT test was conducted on those who did not have the negative certificate and only then they were allowed entry to Karnataka from Goa.
