On previous occasions of the session in Belgaum the Legislators had to make a choice for their lunch and during the last session many legislators had asked to the Speaker that the food provided to them was just too spicy. Some of them even complained of stomach problems and uneasiness after consuming the food at Belgaum. Legislators from south Karnataka and the Malnad region have claimed that they find it difficult to adjust with North Karnataka’s spicy food and the variety of sweets the region is famous for.
This time also diet food for hypertensive, diabetics would be provided special diet meals.
The menu this time: Rotti, Chapati, Yengai( Bharle Vangi), Bhaji, Vegetable, Sambar, Chutteny, Puttane Chutteny, Sweet, White Rice, Masala Rice, ButterMilk, Curds, Fruits, Banana, Paan Beda, Dharwad peda, Gokak Kardant, Goodi Huggi, Boondi Laado.
Food for 3,000 persons will be available within the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha complex. Also, two canteens and drinking water facility for visitors will be provided. Around 120 cars have been rented to provide transportation.
