If you saw someone drowning in water, would you jump to help them?

Or would you rather be an onlooker, even if you knew how to swim?

But this brave lad of Belagavi who has lost his hand in the accident during the Ganesh Visarjan in 2013, jumped to save the life of a drowning boy at Asoga near Khanapur.

Words fall short to acknowledge this heroic deed.

Sahil Shivram Kajukar (age 23, resident of Sadashivnagar,Belagavi) has lost one of his arms in the Ganesh Visarjan Accident at Sadashiv Nagar in 2013. Sahil is a swimming champ and has participated at District and state levels.

He was there along with his family near Asoga when he saw one of the two who were in the water shouting out for help as he was drowning.

Without a second thought Sahil jumped into the water and brought the boy to the shore.

Sahil covered the distance of about 200-250 feet holding the waist of the drowning youth brought him to the shore.
