The Transgender persons are one of the most neglected & marginalized section of Indian society, facing neglect from the family as well as the society.
It is therefore important to discuss about the problems faced by the community and also bring out to what extent it will solve their issues.
Kiran Nippanikar AAB’s Features editor had a talk with Humanity Foundation which looks after the welfare of the Transgender community.
Belagavi has around 1000 Transgender persons to which the Humanity Foundation provides help in form of counseling, food and self employment.
