Wait gets longer for UDAN-3 routes announcement

The government has received bids for 111 proposals which include operations of seaplanes in the third round of auction for the regional air connectivity UDAN 3 scheme from 15 airlines, senior government officials had said and the announcement as per schedule was to happen on January 7.

But due to various reasons, the announcement has not yet been made and sources from Delhi say that this could be due to the delay from the Finance ministry as they have to give a nod for the fund allocation under VGF and others heads for the scheme.

As you know most of the officials in the finance ministry are now laboring with the budget preparations, the final announcement of the routes under UDAN 3 is possible this week.

With regards to Belagavi 17 routes have got Financial Bids but Bengaluru, Mumbai,  and Chennai are missing from the list which is disheartening.

Under the scheme, 50 per cent seats in aeroplanes are offered at concessional rates to passengers.
In case of these seats remaining vacant, the Centre and the respective state offer subsidy in the form of Value Gap Funding (VGF) to the airline company to compensate for the loss.
As part of this scheme, no other airline is allowed to operate that particular route, thus protecting the business interest of the operating company.
The VGF in tickets is shared by the Centre (80 per cent) and the state (20 per cent).

The financial bid received for 17 routes –

Belagavi to Surat
Belagavi to Kishangarh (Ajmer)
Belagavi to Vadodara
Belagavi to Jodhpur
Belagavi to Jaipur
Belagavi to Tirupati

Suresh angadi is an inefficient politician from Belgaum
He has not improved or asked anything from Belgaum insistently till today
Look at the Hubli airport how fast it has progressed and we people from Belgaum keep on traveling to Belgaum happily
We are as irresponsible as angadi is

Yes its truth. In last 15 years he did not do for belgaum city nor improvement for people of belgaum but made sure how to make make money for himself by opening education institute .
BJP should not give ticket to such incompetent candidate.

Why don’t Mr. Angadi tries to push those three routes as well under UDAN scheme where there is a heavy traffic from Belgaum ?
