Works under 100 crore Fund II to begin from Christmas

Works under the CM special grant of 100 crore II would begin from Christmas day. This was disclosed by MLA Abhay Patil at a press meet. The deadline for most works under this would be completed by March 2013, he added.

It may be recalled that the works under the CM special 100 crore Fund I were not completed on time and it took more than 2 years for some works to be completed and also it was alleged that the works done was not proper and upto standards. However the MLA said that even today anyone can complain, if the works done under the first 100 crores were not upto standard.

The government hospital at Vadgoan will be upgraded to 100 beded in Rs 40 crore for which cabinet will give approval next month. Proposal of starting an ITI college in Majgoan where about 2500 students can study has been submitted. Special housing apartments would be constructed for the weavers of Vadagaon. Road from Railway over bridge to Mahaveer bhavan would be widened.

Belgaum South BJP MLA Abhay Patil plans to hold dharna infront Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh’s residence at Delhi in the second week of January, 2013. Developmental plan of Belgaum estimating to cost of Rs 5300 crore was presented to chief minister of the state months ago which he had sent seven times for approval to the Prime Minister. But there has been no response on the same from the PM’s side.
