Rotary Club of Venugram Belgaum in association with Rotaract Club of Venugram, Belgaum is organizing the 13th edition of the Belagavi Half Marathon on Sunday, 11 Feb 2024 with the theme ‘Say No to Drugs’. This is the oldest Road Race of Belagavi City conducted by the Rotary Club of Venugram Belagavi with the first edition conducted in the year 2008. This year’s 13th edition of this race will be a grand event with Approximately 3000 runners from all over India participating in various race categories. Professional endurance athletes from various states of India will be participating in this event.
Race Categories, Prize Money, and Registration Process ROTARY BELAGAVI HALF MARATHON:
There are four categories of races i.e. Half Marathon (21.095 kms), 10kms, 5kms, and 3kms Fun Run/Walk. This is a timed run and the timings of all runners will be captured through an RFID Timing Chip from Mumbai-based firm Run India. The starting and finishing point of the race is CPED Ground on 11 Feb 2024 from morning 0500 hours and the race route is through the beautiful Belgaum Cantonment area. There are exciting cash prizes for winners in age categories up to 34 years, 35-49 years, and 50 years & above in 21km, 10km, and 5km races for both Males & Females.
All registered runners in all categories will get medals, breakfast after race, good quality event Tshirt, E-Timing certificate, event photographs, hydration support and medical support during race and many more. Note – This year a new race category is introduced i.e the Inter-School Open Cross Country Championship in two categories i.e the 5 Kms Cross Country Race for Under-17 age Boys and Girls at Team Level. This will be the first time in India that a Cross Country Race of such magnitude will be held with RFID Timing System with a Point System at the Team Level. This will be a golden opportunity for Students from School to start practicing with the School Team for this Race and participate on an International Level.
