Two Skaters from Belagavi Dist Selected for 19th Asian Roller Skating Championship 2023

The Belagavi District Roller Skating Association is proud to announce that two of its talented skaters, Yashpal Purohit and Manjunath Mandolkar, have been chosen to represent our country in the prestigious 19th Asian Roller Skating Championship 2023. This highly anticipated event will take place from October 16th to 23rd, 2023, in China.

Manjunath Mandolkar, a seasoned skater with 17 years of experience in the field, has proven himself time and time again. He has won the national medal five times and has represented Karnataka on fifteen occasions. Hailing from a humble background in Anandwadi Shapur, Belagavi, this opportunity to compete at the international level is a testament to Manjunath’s dedication to skating.

Yashpal Purohit, on the other hand, has dedicated the past ten years of his life to the sport. He has represented Karnataka for the past six years and has been selected for the Indian team camp for the last three years. Yashpal’s hard work and determination have paid off, as he now has the chance to represent our country in the esteemed 19th Asian Championship. Yashpal resides in Kulkarni Galli, Belagavi.

Both skaters have honed their skills at the KLE Skating Rink, Good Shepherd Central School Skating Rink in Ganeshpur, and the Corporation Sports Academy in Goaves, under the guidance of esteemed skating coaches Suryakant Hindalgekar, Yogesh Kulkarni, and Vithal Gagane.
