Renowned Actor, Social activist and Rajya Sabha MP, Shabana Aazmi inaugurated the KLE Centenary Museum on 5th Nov 2016 at KLE Society’s Lingraj College Campus, Belagavi. KLE Society President Shri. Shivanand Koujalgi, Society Chairman and Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Prabhakar Kore, Members of the Board of Management, Life Members, Former Board Members, other dignitaries, alumni, faculty and students were present at the function.
The Museum showcases the growth and influence of the KLE Society over 10 decades of service in the region and beyond.
Speaking on the occasion Honorable MP Shabana Aazmi hailed the contributions of the KLE Society over it’s Century of existence. “The journey always begins alone but the sheer purpose makes people join hands and a huge communion of committed individuals is created”.
Quoting famous poet Majrooh Sultanpuri, she stated that the journey of KLE was one such. She expressed satisfaction over the infrastructure, facilities and the services offered by the organization. Focusing on retention of talent in smaller cities and rural areas as the need of the hour, she said that organizations like the KLE Society actually render yeoman services by affecting reversal of brain drain and consequently contribute to the holistic development of the country.
