Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti today visited the Suvarna Vidhan Soudha situated at Halga to see the preparations for the forthcoming winter session of the Karnataka Legislature.
Speaking to the media he said that the session is likely to be held from 13 of December to 23 December.
The Winter Session has not been held in Belagavi since 2018. This time a live broadcast is being arranged. A preparatory meeting was held to discuss the matter.

All sorts of steps have been taken to facilitate the session. The session is sure to take place in December. The government will decide the date.

The construction of MLA’s house is a demand of the people. This will be brought to the notice of the government in consultation with the chief ministers.

The Government will take appropriate action by discussing the pros and cons of the construction of MLA’s house.

It is my opinion that it is appropriate to build a house of legislators by conducting a session every year by building a golden system.

There is no provision to make legislators’ attendance compulsory. But lawmakers are expected to participate in the Belagavi session.

Will provide for a discussion of urgent matters according to the regulations.

Discussion of issues in North Karnataka will be given priority in this session.

District Collector MG Hiremath, Secretary to the Legislative Council Mahalaxmi and many others were present.
