Her name rings familiar as the author of many interesting stories on Allaboutbelgaum as well as her columns and articles in newspapers. In her career spanning 20 years, she has donned many hats, as a media person, an academic, researcher, a writer, poet, counselor, talk show host, fashion-lifestyle- heritage columnist and now as an entrepreneur.

When Swatee Jog quit her career to start Eeshanya Ventures last year, many were surprised. While Eeshanya Ventures has created a name for website designing and digital marketing, her eyes were now set on going the whole hog with an e-commerce site. Now she’s launched another venture- www.mavinstore.com, a unique website that brings together lifestyle products from across the country.

The store is the brainchild of siblings Swatee Jog and Manish Naik. They started Eeshanya Ventures to offer comprehensive digital marketing services and soon began toying with the idea of having their own online store. Mavinstore offers delightful and unique lifestyle products and makes it easy for customers to buy from anywhere in the world, thereby opening up the whole world to local and artisanal products.

Swatee says that Mavinstore will make available exquisite products, maintaining its core focus on handlooms, hand-made products, made and sold by artisans or women, eco-friendly and made through sustainable business practices. “ I wanted to sell products that I have bought or would personally love to buy and use without any guilt while being effortlessly different from what is already on offer” she says as she explains the core ideology. The store abides by its belief of
Sensible Fashion, Responsible Luxury. The store has on offer silk and cotton sarees and blouses, copperware, accessories like bags, totes, cotton masks, hand-blended perfumes and hand-made jewelry which one would enjoy wholeheartedly.

The key, she says is that all the products must, to the maximum extent, provide a guilt-free and highly satisfactory user experience. “We have ensured that all the products that go on sale on Mavinstore stand for their quality, authenticity and standards of production,” she adds. All products on Mavinstore have been sourced from authentic sources and make for some exciting buying experience. Mavinstore has brought out some exotic silk sarees, north Karnataka handloom sarees, Bengal and Orissa cotton sarees, Ilkals and accessories that one may not easily find elsewhere. The store will soon expand its product lines with more categories and also in-house offerings on its way.
